Perfect Game Ranks Ten Cotton States Players as 2010/2011 MLB Draft Prospects

Perfect Game’s PGCrosschecker has ranked ten (10) players who played in the inaugural season of the Cotton States Baseball League North Division as MLB draft prospects in 2010 and 2011.

Hall, Tucker To Guide Teams in 2010
BuddyHallNew Albany's Buddy Hall and Baldwyn's Gregg Tucker will guide two teams in the 2010 Cotton States Baseball League.  Hall, who is an officer in the NEMCABB organization, will take the reins of the Tupelo Thunder while Tucker, the head baseball coach at Baldwyn High School, will lead the Golden Triangle Jets.  Hall assisted with the CSBL in 2009 for Chris Basil's Tallahatchie Rascals; this season will be Tucker's first as a part of the league.  No assistants have yet been named for either team.

All-CSBL 1st-Teamer Matt Shaw Inks With Southern Miss
MattAll-Cotton States League 1st teamer Matt Shaw has inked a baseball letter of intent with 2009 College World Series participant Southern Miss. The 6’-4 right-handed pitcher for Northwest Mississippi Community College, who prepped at Oxford High School, will join the Golden Eagles, USM head coach Scott Berry announced November 12.
