Perfect Game’s PGCrosschecker has ranked ten (10) players who played in the inaugural season of the Cotton States Baseball League North Division as MLB draft prospects in 2010 and 2011.

Hall, Tucker To Guide Teams in 2010

New Albany's Buddy Hall and Baldwyn's Gregg Tucker will guide two teams in the 2010 Cotton States Baseball League. Hall, who is an officer in the NEMCABB organization, will take the reins of the Tupelo Thunder while Tucker, the head baseball coach at Baldwyn High School, will lead the Golden Triangle Jets. Hall assisted with the CSBL in 2009 for Chris Basil's Tallahatchie Rascals; this season will be Tucker's first as a part of the league. No assistants have yet been named for either team.

All-CSBL 1st-Teamer Matt Shaw Inks With Southern Miss

All-Cotton States League 1^st teamer Matt Shaw has inked a baseball letter of intent with 2009 College World Series participant Southern Miss. The 6’-4 right-handed pitcher for Northwest Mississippi Community College, who prepped at Oxford High School, will join the Golden Eagles, USM head coach Scott Berry announced November 12.

CSBL North to Add 5th Team in 2010: Tippah Co. Tribe

The Cotton States Baseball League North will add a 5th team for the 2010 season - the Tippah County Tribe. CSBL North President Clark Richey pointed to two factors in deciding to add a Ripley-based franchise to the 4-team group that launched the league in its New Albany location last season.

BNA Bank Cotton States League All-CSBL Team Named.

The BNA Bank Cotton States Baseball League has announced its first All-CSBL Team for the 2009 season. First and second teams of fifteen (15) players each were selected by position – (8) defensive positions, a designated hitter, a utility player and (5) pitchers on each team. Additionally, an honorable mention list is included containing players who either played only a portion of the season due to injury or other conflicts or those who were in close consideration for the first or second teams.

Dealers Deal Rascals 8-2 Loss to Claim LCS Title

The North Delta Dealers defeated the Tallahatchie Rascals 8-2 on Sunday to claim the BNA Bank Cotton States Baseball League title. Matt Shaw got the complete game victory for Coach Doug Robbins squad and Nick Vickerson and Cade Hoggard picked up three hits apiece to pace the Dealer offense.

Rain Again! BNA CSBL Finals Move To Sunday, Jets Out

In keeping with a summer defined by the rainout, Saturday afternoon was no different as rains and storms forced the reschedule of the BNA Bank CSBL Championship Tournament finals to Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm.

CSBL Youth Camp: A "GO" For Friday Morning

The BNA Bank Cotton States League Youth Camp is a "GO" for tomorrow morning rain or shine. The camp will move indoors in the event of inclement weather. Approximately (15) "walk-up" spots will still be available in the morning for kids ages 7 to 14.
